Final Condensed Pre-tournament Checklist for Teams
Please review the following information thoroughly.
1. Send in payments and insurance certificates.
Without the proper Guarantee of Insurance that specifically lists "HLPUSD, its agents, officers, employees, and volunteers" as Additional Insureds, your team may not participate in the tournament this Saturday.
2. Submit a PDF of your exam and key.
We plan to distribute flash drives containing all exams and keys to each team at the end of the day. Please email relevant event exams and keys to Alaric Qin by 11:59pm the night before the tournament.
3. Sign up for engineering event time slots.
The ESUS sign-up closes the day before the tournament. The official schedule will be posted at the event locations the day of the tournament, and event supervisors may decide whether schools can switch to empty slots in certain hours.
4. Look at event-specific information.

5. Bring day-of-tournament registration materials.
Upon check-in at the registration table at the event, teams need to have the following items:
6. Prepare for and run your event.
Most schools have one or more event assignments. Please have your event supervisors report to the Room 29 on the day of the tournament for further instruction.
Out of fairness for all participating teams, please remember to keep all test material original, and most importantly please be sure not to reuse portions of event exams from any previous California invitational, regional or state tournaments.
When planning for your event, keep in mind that there will be a maximum of 13 teams in any one time slot for Scheduled Events, and a maximum of 6 teams in any one time slot for Self-Scheduled Events.
We ask that schools without event assignments provide 2-4 volunteers for the day. These volunteers will be directed to help with judging and grading events. Please have your volunteers report to Room 29 as well for further instruction.
7. Remember tournament policies and ground rules.
Just in case anyone needs a refresher.
Please contact us with any questions or comments. Thanks again for being a part of our invitational!

We recommend that teams check their engineering devices against these checklists to ensure that there are no construction violations. If you are an event supervisor for one of the events listed below, we ask that you use the scoresheets on the day of the tournament to record and submit scores.
